Adam T. Adams, Senior Attorney
Adam has spent 25 of his 33 years practicing law specializing in commercial and insurance defense litigation primarily focusing on premises liability and motor vehicle liability defense. His advice and counsel has extended to small and mid-size closely held businesses as well as to some of the nation's best-known insurance companies and retail chains.
As the former General Counsel to Village Super Markets, Inc., Adam understands the unique challenges businesses face and is keenly aware of the need for managed litigation services. While General Counsel, he oversaw legal work in a myriad of areas from corporate governance issues to SEC filings, supermarket site locations, long-term lease preparation and negotiation and employer/employee relations. He coordinated the work of the real estate and legal departments on various types of business and legal projects and assisted and coordinated with outside counsel the defense of the company against claims asserted against it for personal injury, employee discrimination, wrongful discharge and labor grievances.
Adam is a skilled appellate court practitioner, having presented nearly a dozen cases before the Appellate Division of the Superior Court involving issues such as the responsibilities of land owners/occupiers to business invitees, automobile and commercial general liability insurance issues, and the review of alleged trial errors.
Adam is admitted to practice before the New Jersey Supreme Court, the Appellate Division of the Superior Court and all New Jersey trial courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. He is a member of the Essex County and the New Jersey State Bar Associations.
Adam is a graduate of Hartwick College and New York Law School.
