A former Associate Counsel at the Office of the Public Guardian for Elderly Adults of New Jersey, Adam P. Dubeck is an associate in Stein McGuire's Trusts & Estates - Tax Planning practice group where he focuses on Elder Law, Wills, Estates & Trusts, and Estate Planning matters.
His elder law experience extends to adult guardianships, powers of attorney, living wills, advanced directives and special needs trusts. He drafts wills, trusts, and serves all estate litigation and estate administration needs. He also assists clients who require tax planning, and is involved in the creation of various tax saving vehicles.
Adam regularly serves as a court appointed attorney in adult guardianship matters on behalf of the Chancery Division: Probate Part throughout Northern New Jersey. As a former Law Clerk to the Hon. Peter B. Cooper, J.S.C. - Chancery Division: Probate Part, Essex County, Adam brings an insider's perspective to the management of his clients' various trusts & estate and elder law needs.
In addition to his breadth of professional experience, Adam completed a course of study at Fairleigh Dickinson University to obtain his graduate certification in Estate, Gift and Trust Taxation. Obtaining such a certification entails undertaking an in-depth course of study on estates and estate planning from an accounting perspective. While the typical certificate holder is often someone from the accounting field, Adam saw the education as something that would bring a unique and beneficial approach to his work with his clients.
Adam is admitted to practice before all state courts of New Jersey and the United States Tax Court. He is a member of the Essex County and New Jersey State Bar Associations. He is also certified as a CSA by the Society of Certified Senior Advisors, the national organization dedicated to addressing the many areas that impact senior life.
Adam is a graduate of the University of Maryland and Rutgers School of Law.
