Longtime Hartford Attorney Joins Stein McGuire

(Livingston, NJ, June, 2007) - The law firm of Stein McGuire Pantages & Gigl, LLP has announced that Brigid Hagerty Farley, the former head of one of the nation's largest insurance carrier's Northern New Jersey Staff Counsel office, has joined the firm as a Senior Attorney in the Defense Litigation Department.
Farley practiced as an in-house attorney for more than 20 years with The Hartford Financial Services Group in New Jersey, serving over the years as Senior Staff Attorney, Litigation Manager, and most significantly Managing Attorney of the East Hanover, New Jersey office. In that role, she directed all functional and administrative operations of an 18 member staff counsel tort and workers' compensation law office that handled the defense of litigated and non-litigated matters involving Hartford's clients situated in Northern New Jersey.
Her work with the firm on behalf of client insurance companies and self-insureds will draw on her experience in virtually all aspects of litigation with respect to premises, automobile, property, product and professional liability cases, from analysis to discovery, litigation and appeals and arbitration, as well. Her background also includes a special concentration in Nursing Home litigation.
Farley is a graduate of the University of Detroit, summa cum laude and Tulane University School of Law, cum laude and is admitted to practice in New Jersey. She resides in Long Valley with her husband, Anthony.
